Summary
Authorization to abolish and create positions in order to conform to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and transfer the incumbents from exempt to non-exempt status. The Division of Human Resources has determined that the Telecommunicator Supervisor classification and the incumbents will change from exempt to non-exempt status, effective the first payroll Monday following passage of Council. While the base salary remains the same, there May be a potential fiscal impact due to the fact that these employees will become eligible for overtime pay. (L1017-22) (Walters/Hamilton)

Section 1 - That the following subsection line number in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength by and hereby is amended to read as follows:
520.025|99|907 520N Telecommunicator Supervisor

Section 2 - That the incumbents to the position be and hereby are transferred from an exempt to non-exempt position as follows:
Tracy Wells, from Telecommunicator Supervisor, Grade 520E, at $2,572.96 biweekly, to Telecommunicator Supervisor, Grade 520N, at $32.162 hourly.
