BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept a Grant from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, which Grant funds are in the amount of $4,216,394.70 Federal funds under the FY 21 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program, for the hiring of twenty-one Firefighters, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government to the expenditure of funds.

                     Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 97-21, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account ap-propriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget established for this Grant.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
