BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor or her designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandums of Understanding, which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the respective bargaining units for the Divisions of Police (Officer and Sergeants Unit), and Community Corrections (Officers and Sergeants and Lieutenants and Captains Units)(the “MOU’s”), to ensure that current sworn employees covered by the respective bargaining Agreements and meeting the criteria outlined in the respective MOU for that bargaining unit receive pay supplements totaling up to $4,000 each; and that certain current and future Recruits meeting the criteria outlined in the respective MOU for that bargaining unit receive pay supplements totaling up to $3,000 each.

                     Section 2 - That this pay supplement is to be disbursed in the increments specified in the terms and provisions of the applicable MOU for each bargaining unit, and is not intended to apply as to the payment of any increment to any employee who is no longer employed by the Urban County Government as of the date of distribution.

                     Section 3 - That the Mayor and the administration are further authorized to take any other actions necessary to fulfill the intent of this Resolution.

                     Section 4 - That the total amount of such payments is anticipated not to exceed $4,563,679 with said funding fully appropriated and the payments to be made from various personnel accounts contingent upon the approval of a Budget amendment. 

                     Section 5 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
