BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor or her designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute any necessary agreements with the respective bargaining units for the Divisions of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, and Community Corrections, to ensure that sworn employees covered by the respective bargaining agreements receive a one-time pay supplement of $5,000 each (ARPA funds) at the same time as the full time non-bargaining employees (anticipated date of distribution December 17, 2021).

                     Section 2 - That this pay supplement will also be provided to any probationary recruits within these divisions who are not yet covered under their respective bargaining agreements and who were employed as of October 28, 2021, in order to align with Ordinance No. 111-2021, which provided this benefit to certain other employees in the urban county government.

                     Section 3 - That this pay supplement is not intended to apply to any employee who is no longer employed by the urban county government as of the date of distribution.

                     Section 4 - That the Mayor and the administration are further authorized to take any other actions necessary to fulfill the intent of this resolution.

                     Section 5 - That this resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
