Summary
Authorization to enter into an extended warranty Agreement with Romaine Companies for the body scanner located at the Fayette County Detention Center. The Division purchased a dual view body scanner from Romaine Companies in 2018 (R712-2018). Romaine is the sole source provider for the body scanner, the Division wishes to purchase a four (4) year extended warranty to be paid annually. The extended warranty includes parts, labor, travel, software updates, and annual radiation inspections. Funds are Budgeted for FY22 and will be requested in the future years. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to purchase a four (4) year extended warranty Agreement with Romaine Companies, Inc., for the body scanner located at the Fayette County Detention Center.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $64,857.36, be and hereby is approved for payment to Romaine Companies, Inc., from account #1101-505401-5412-76101, to be paid according to the terms of the extended warranty Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
