A Resolution specifying the intention of the Urban County Council to expand and extend the Full Urban Services District #1 to provide street lighting, street cleaning, and garbage and refuse collection; finding a need for this service in the area included; and finding the ability of the Urban County Government to provide this service in this area, which area is defined as certain properties on the following streets: Angus Trail, Barleys Pass, Bobwhite Ct., Calendula Rd., Case Way, Clematis Way, Cosimo Way, Dawson Springs Way, Feathersound Way, Feliciana Ln., Forest Hill Dr., Foster Dr., Hailey Rose Way, Hollyhock Dr., Lorenzo Way, Peninsula Way, Piero Way, Sandersville Rd., Silver Springs Dr., Snowy Egret Way, Squires Circle, Sunny Landing Trail, Tanksley Way, and Windflower Way. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
SECTION 1 - That pursuant to Section 2.03 of the Charter of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, the Urban County Council hereby specifies its intention to expand and extend the Full Urban Services District #1 to provide the urban services of street lighting, street cleaning and garbage and refuse collection.
SECTION 2 - That the Urban County Council hereby specifies its intention to include the following properties, lots, tracts and parcels of land within the Urban Services District:

SECTION 3 - That the Urban County Council has made the following findings:
A. That the properties, lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 2 above are within areas of residential and commercial development and are urban in character.
B. That as a result of this urbanization and in order to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of the residents, the Council finds that:
1. In order to provide well lit, safe streets to deter crime and contribute to traffic safety, there is a need for street lighting in said area.
2. In order to provide clean, safe streets contributing to traffic safety, there is a need for street cleaning in said area.
3. In order to provide for the orderly removal of garbage and refuse from residences and commercial establishments on a timely basis, there is a need for garbage and refuse collection in said area.
C. That the Urban County Government has the ability to provide to the properties, lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 2 above the urban services of street lighting, street cleaning, and garbage and refuse collection.
SECTION 4 - That the Clerk of the Urban County Council be and hereby is directed to cause the contents of this Resolution to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in Fayette County at least once a week for a period of three consecutive weeks.
SECTION 5 - That a public hearing will be held on November 9, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the Urban County Council Chambers, Second Floor, Government Center, 200 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507, for the purpose of informing and receiving the views of all interested persons concerning the expansion and extension of the Urban Services specified herein.
SECTION 6 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
