Authorization to execute an Agreement with Arbor Youth Services, Inc., the Fayette County provider of non-secured overnight emergency shelter, compassionate care, and supportive services to homeless and at-risk youth ages birth to 17, to meet the established need for alternative to detention for youth under 18 years of age, at a cost of $5000. LFUCG will provide $47.00 to Arbor Youth Services per diem, for each day of shelter and services AYS provides to these youth. Funds are Budgeted. (L0875-21) (Hong/Allen-Bryant)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandum of Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Arbor Youth Services, Inc., to provide an alternative to detention for certain youthful offenders.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $5,000.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Arbor Youth Services, Inc., from account #1101-606504-6541-71299, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement and contingent upon the approval of a pending Budget amendment.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
