NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Ordinance 57-2020 hereby be amended to read as follows:
Section 1 -- Notwithstanding Chapter 21-33(a) of the Code of Ordinances, every classified civil service employee who has an accumulated vacation leave balance in excess of twenty one (21) working days (one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours) on December 31, 2020 shall be granted an extension until December 31, 2022 to use said leave.

Section 2 - An employee shall not carry forward after December 31, 2022, or the end of the first payroll period in which December 31, 2022 falls, more than twenty-one (21) working days (one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours) of vacation leave.

Section 3 - An employee who is granted an extension pursuant to Section 1 but separates from service prior to December 31, 2022, shall be paid pursuant to Section 21-33(e) of the Code of Ordinances for all accumul...
