Summary
Authorization to recognize Kraus Associates, Inc. d/b/a AK Associates as the sole source provider of telephone technology (i.e., routers, controllers, switches, licenses, integration, services, etc.) manufactured by Solacom Technologies Inc. and Execom logging recorders. AK Associates is the sole source provider for Solacom equipment in Kentucky (letter attached). E911 anticipates acquiring or upgrading additional hardware, software, parts, and licenses from AK Associates through the end of FY22. The prior sole source approval expires in February. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Division of E911 is authorized to purchase telephone technology from Kraus Associates, Inc. d/b/a AK Associates, a sole source provider, and the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute any necessary agreement with Kraus Associates, related to the procurement.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
