Summary

Authorization to sign Change Order No. 3-Final to the Contract with Bluegrass Contracting Corporation for the Southland Drive Sidewalk Project.  The Division of Engineering needs this action because during the course of the construction, the Contractor was asked to perform work beyond the original scope of services and to revise some of the materials used.  Fiscal year impact is $36,185.68. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute Change Order No. 3-Final, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Agreement with Bluegrass Contracting Corporation, for the Southland Drive Sidewalk Project, increasing the Contract price by the sum of $36,185.68 from $2,071,764.84 to $2,107,950.52.

                     Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $36,185.68, be and hereby is approved for payment to Bluegrass Contracting Corporation from accounts 1136-303202-3251-91715 ($7,763.88) and 4052-303204-3334-92211 ($28,421.80), pursuant to the terms of the Change Order.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
