Summary
Authorization to enter into an Agreement with MetroNet to use an abandoned pipe for bRd.band deployment along HWY 60/Versailles Rd. MetroNet will install 3 innerducts into the pipe. One innerduct will be dedicated to LFUCG for any future use. Two of the innerducts will be for MetroNet deployment. This Agreement has been negotiated by the Law Dept. There is no Budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Metro Fibernet, LLC, (MetroNet) to allow MetroNet to install fiberoptic infrastructure in an abandoned pipe along Versailles Road, part of which will be dedicated to the Urban County Government, at no cost to the Urban County Government.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
