Summary
Authorization to accept award of state funding in the amount of $10,000 from the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services for the Division Fire and Emergency Services for Fiscal Year 2020. Funds will be used for the purchase of Mass Casualty Equipment for the training of EMT and Paramedic personnel within the div This equipment will be used to teach continuing education to all Firefighters in mass casualty procedures. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept a Grant from the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services, which Grant funds are in the amount of $10,000.00 Commonwealth of Kentucky Funds, for the Division of Fire and Emergency Services, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government for the expenditure of funds.
Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 22-79, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account ap-propriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant budget established herein.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
