Request Council authorization to accept the proposal by Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC to conduct an audit of utility franchise fee revenues received from Kentucky Utilities, Columbia Gas of Kentucky and Blue Grass Energy Cooperative and to enter into a letter Agreement related to the services at a cost estimated not to exceed $45,000 (FY2018) which costs are to be reimbursed by the audited utilities under the respective franchise Agreements.

                     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized, to execute a Letter of Engagement to retain the professional services of Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC (awarded pursuant to RFP No. 5-2017), to conduct an audit of utility franchise fee revenues received from Kentucky Utilities Company, Columbia Gas of Kentucky, Inc., and Bluegrass Energy Cooperative Corporation.

                     Section 2 - That an amount, estimated not to exceed the sum of $45,000.00 be and hereby is approved for payment to Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC, from account #1105-313201-71299, pursuant to the terms of their respective franchise agreements.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
