Summary

Authorization to approve Change Order #1 to Judy Construction Company increasing the cost of the Lower Cane Run Wet Weather Storage project, Resolution No. 587-2015 dated September 24, 2015. The requested Change Order is for architectural Improvements to the site that were presented and endorsed by Council on December 8, 2015.  This Change Order is in the amount of $1,692,325.00; new project cost is $11,389,326.00.  This will also add 180 days to the Contract completion date; new completion date is 5/31/2017.                      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute Change Order No. 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Agreement with Judy Construction Company, for the Lower Cane Run Wet Weather Storage Facility Project, increasing the contract price by the sum of $1,692,325.00 from $9,697,001.00 to $11,389,326.00 and extending the date of completion by one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days, to May 31, 2017.

                     Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $1,692,325.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Judy Construction Company, from account # 4003 - 303408 - 92811 pursuant to the terms of the Change Order.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
