Title

A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute an Agreement with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), granting access and use of the 800 MHz Public Safety Radio Communication System, at no cost to the Urban County Government. [Div. of Emergency Management/911, Stack]

Summary

Authorization to sign an Agreement with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Explosives (ATF) for use of the 800 MHz public safety radio communication system.  Granting the ATF access to Lexington’s radio system and Lexington Police channels enhances communication between agencies, thus improving officer safety during joint response.  ATF will not pay to have Lexington’s frequencies programmed on its radios and Lexington does not incur cost associated with this Agreement.
