Summary
Authorization to send a letter to the Commonwealth requesting transfer of and to accept a Deed of Conveyance from the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the parcel of land located at 110 S Limestone Street that serves as a portion of Phoenix Park. The parcel consists of approximately 0.5049 acres and restrictive covenants are defined within the deed. The land shall continue to be used as a public park and a portion of the land will be used for the installation of five vehicular parking spaces for use by the general public. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to submit to the Commonwealth of Kentucky a formal request that it transfer 110 South Limestone Street (a portion of Phoenix Park) to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, to accept a deed and execute any other necessary documents for transfer of same, and authorizing the construction of five parking spaces on a portion of the property.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
