Summary

Authorization of the attached documentation for the Lexington Police Department to donate two (2) police cruisers to the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement use only.  Both of the police cruisers are scheduled to be removed from the fleet this year. The radios will be removed, but the lighting package will be left; neither vehicle is equipped with a cage. There is no budgetary impact. (L0968-15)(Barnard/Bastin)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to donate to McCreary County sheriff’s office for law enforcement use only, two police cruisers that are being removed from the fleet.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
