WHEREAS, the 2023 Kentucky General Assembly increased the amount of an expenditure for which a local government is not required to legally advertise for bids or go through a formal competitive bid process from $30,000 to $40,000 through revisions to KRS 45A.380 and KRS 424.260; and
WHEREAS, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government would like to raise the amount of its bids that would require legal advertisement to $40,000, and make other changes to its Procurement Regulations consistent with and with the current operations of the Urban County Government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
