A Resolution ratifying and approving the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget of the Downtown Lexington Management District. [Council Office, Hall]

WHEREAS, KRS 91.758 requires a management district to submit its annual Budget for the cost of providing economic improvements within the management district to the legislative body of the Urban County Government for its approval;

                     WHEREAS, the Urban County Council is the legislative body of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and it re-established and continued, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 30-2025 and Ordinance No. 32-2020, the Downtown Lexington Management District previously created pursuant to Ordinance No. 52-2015; and

                     WHEREAS, the Downtown Lexington Management District has submitted its proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 for the cost of providing economic improvements within the district for consideration by the Urban County Council.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the preamble to this Resolution is incorporated herein in its entirety.

                     Section 2 - That the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget for the Downtown Lexington Management District, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference, be and hereby is ratified and approved for the purposes set forth in Ordinance No. 30-2025 and the proposed economic improvements Budgeted within the district, and that any requirement that the Budget be submitted to the Urban County Council no later than two months prior to the commencement of the fiscal year is waived.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
