BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That section 1-13 of the Code of Ordinances be and hereby is created to read as follows:
Sec. 1-13.
The urban county government may use the name "Lexington" or other similar branding for the purpose of identifying the government or the urban county, or for promotional purposes. This is not intended to conflict with Section 1.01 of the Charter of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, nor is it intended to in any way act as a waiver of sovereign immunity or any other third-party defense available to the urban county government.
Section 2- If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unlawful by a court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof.
Section 3- That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its passage.
