Summary

Authorization to amend Section 22-5 of the Code of Ordinances, extending the term of 2 positions of Evidence Technician; 1 position of Police Analyst; and 1 position of Public Information Officer, all in the Division of Police.   (L050-12) (Jarvis/Mason)

This is a request to amend Section 22-5 of the Code of Ordinances, creating two (2) positions of Evidence Technician (Grade 112N); one (1) position of Police Analyst (Grade 111N); and one (1) position of Public Information Officer (Grade 118E), all in the Division of Police for a term to expire December 31, 2014. Funds are budgeted (grant funded).

                     Section 1 - That the following subsection line numbers of Section 22-5 of the Code of Ordinances be and hereby are created to read as follows:

                     550.002                     1                     930                     118E                     Public Information Officer

                     550.005                     3                     918                     112N                     Evidence Technician

                     550.008                     1                     914                     111N                     Police Analyst

                     Section 2 -                      That the term for these positions shall expire on December 31, 2014.

                     Section 3 - That this Ordinance shall become effective upon date of passage.
