Summary
Authorization to execute a Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification between the LFUCG and the Federal Departments of Justice and Treasury. This agreement sets forth the requirements for participation in the federal equitable sharing program and the restrictions upon the use of federally forfeited cash, property, proceeds, and any interest, which are equitably shared with participating law enforcement agencies. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute the Agreement and Certification, which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the Federal Departments of Justice and Treasury for the participation in the federal equitable sharing program.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
