Authorization to submit an application to the National Park Service requesting federal funds in the amount of $472,500.00 from the FY 2016 Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program for the redevelopment of Northeastern Park to include a splash park for neighborhood children. The project requires a 50% ($472,500.00) match. Bluegrass Community Foundation has been consulted about fundraising in the amount of $322,500.00. $150,000.00 will be requested from the LFUCG 2018 Budget. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute and submit a Grant Application to the Kentucky Department for Local Government, and to provide any additional information requested in connection with the Grant Application, which grant funds are in the amount of $472,500.00 federal funds, for the redevelopment of Northeastern Park.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
