WHEREAS, the Opioid Abatement Commission (“the Commission”) was charged with “recommending appropriate uses for proceeds received by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in any settlement, judgement, bankruptcy, or other manner of Resolution of the National Opioid Litigation, or other moneys received from gifts, Grants or state or Federal funds;” and
WHEREAS, the Commission has made its recommendations and completed its purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Article LI of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances, Lexington-Fayette County Government, related to the Opioid Abatement Commission, be and hereby is repealed and reserved.
Section 2 - That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its passage.
