Summary
Authorization to execute an Agreement with Gatton Park on the Town Branch to provide an art project Grant to create public art to be displayed in Gatton Park. The scope of work was approved by the Public Arts Commission and includes artwork created by Blessing Hancock installed on the Gatton Park passageway which will remain property of LFUCG. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, with Town Branch Park, Inc. d/b/a Gatton Park on the Town Branch, to fund a public art project, with funds from the Percent for Art Fund, in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $150,000.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Town Branch Park, Inc. d/b/a Gatton Park on the Town Branch, from account # 2613-134201-1428-71299, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
