Summary
Authorization to execute a Contract Agreement with the University of Kentucky to extend the limits of the proposed widening of Waller Ave. from a point east of Elizabeth Street all the way to South Limestone. In exchange for LFUCG's contribution of $200,000, UK will donate the right-of-way, relocate the utilities, and design and construct the improvements at no additional cost. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with University of Kentucky, for the widening of Waller Ave., for the Department of Enviromental Quality and Public Works.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $200,000.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to University of Kentucky, from account # 1136-313101-71299, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
