BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor or her designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute any necessary agreements with the respective bargaining units for the Divisions of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, and Community Corrections, to ensure that sworn employees covered by the respective bargaining agreements, similarly to classified (non-bargaining) employees, receive Juneteenth Independence Day (June 19th) and Veterans Day (November 11th) as holidays beginning in calendar year 2022.

                     Section 2 - That the Mayor and the administration are further authorized to take any other actions necessary to fulfill the intent of this resolution.

                     Section 3 - That this resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
