Summary
Authorization to donate radio police headsets to the Kentucky State Police. This equipment was purchased in 2010 for the Hazardous Devices Unit and is no longer compatible with our current radio system. This donation would be for law enforcement use only. The radio equipment is currently being processed for surplus. Upon approval of donation, the radio equipment will be transferred to the Kentucky Sate Police. There will be no budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to donate to the Kentucky State Police, radio headsets which are no longer compatible with the current radio system.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
