Dept. of Education/Div. of School and Community Nutrition, and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, and to accept this Grant if the application is approved, which Grant funds are in the amount of $79,000 Federal funds, are for participation in the Child Care Food Program, for the Family Care Center in FY 2016, and the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government for the expenditure of funds, and authorizing the Mayor to transfer unencumbered funds within the Grant budget. Summary
Authorization to submit application and accept award, if offered, to the Kentucky Department of Education for Participation in the Child Care Food Program at the Family Care Center - FY16. This program serves meals at free and reduced rates to infants and toddlers. Based on current rates, an estimated $79,000 will be collected. Additional funds in the amount of $21,000 have been requested in the FY 2016 general fund in the event that costs exceed actual reimbursement through the program. A budget amendment is in process.
