BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 26-4(3) of the Code of Ordinances of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government be and hereby is amended to read as follows:

(3) No voting member who was originally appointed to the rural land board for less than a four (4) year term and who has served three (3) consecutive full terms after their initial term May succeed themselves until the lapse of twelve (12) months from the end of said consecutive term. No appointed voting member who has served three (3) consecutive full terms May succeed themselves until the lapse of twelve (12) months from the end of said consecutive terms.

Section 2 - That, notwithstanding the general term limit restriction contained in Section 4.107(3) of the Council Rules (commonly referred to as the "Fernita Rule"), this amendment shall control for the purposes of membership on the Rural Land Management Board.
Section 3 - That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its passage.
