BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 23-6(a)(6) of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
(6) Be over twenty-one (21) years of age to be eligible to be an applicant for the position of chief of police and be over nineteen (19) years of age to be eligible for initial appointment to the division of fire and emergency services.

Section 2 - That Section 23-13(a) of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
(a) The director shall apply preference points equivalent to a two (2) percent upgrade to the candidates' final score, after all required examinations are completed, for any candidate who has served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces and who has receive...
