WHEREAS, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Planning Commission considered at a meeting on September 26, 2024, Zoning Ordinance text amendments to create Article 31 - Solar Energy Systems, including Sections relating to Intent; Definitions; Applicability; Permitted Uses, Accessory Uses, and Conditional Uses; General Requirements Applicable to Integrated and Rooftop Solar Energy Systems; and General Requirements Applicable to Ground Mounted Solar Energy Systems. The Planning Commission did recommend approval of the alternative text amendment by a vote of 6-0; and
WHEREAS, this Council agrees with the recommendation of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of the Planning Commission is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
