WHEREAS, the Council by Ordinance No. 57-90 enacted Section 18-114.1 of the Code of Ordinances establishing restrictions and prohibitions relating to the Residential Parking Permit Program, including penalties thereof, which Section was subsequently amended by Ordinance No. 101-90; and

                     WHEREAS, the Council, by Resolution No. 168-90, adopted a procedure on Requests to Establish a Residential Parking Permit Program, which Procedure was subsequently amended by Resolutions No. 450-91, 433-2006, and 489-2014; and

                     WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Council to establish a Residential Parking Permit Program for the first block of Forest Ave., including 116 Forest Ave. through 124 Forest Ave. and 505 East Main Street, twenty-four (24) hours per day, Monday through Sunday.                     

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 – A Residential Parking Permit Program be and hereby is established for the first block of Forest Ave., including 116 Forest Ave. through 124 Forest Ave. and 505 East Main Street, twenty-four (24) hours per day, Monday through Sunday.                     

                     Section 2 – That the Clerk of the Urban County Council be and hereby is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Council Administrator, Chief of Police, Director of the Division of Revenue, Director of the Division of Traffic Engineering, and the Executive Director of the Parking Authority.

                     Section 3 – That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
