Title
Accepting and approving the following donations for the following depts. and divs.:
a. Mayor’s Office - accepting a donation from the Bluegrass Community Foundation: $159,500.00 for phased construction in the Cadentown Hamlet as part of the Sense of Place project that is remembering and celebrating our historic Fayette County hamlets. (Budget Amendment #14376);
b. Fire and Emergency Services - making a donation to the Wilmore Fire Department: four positive pressure ventilation fans and one smoke ejector fan. This equipment no longer provides a benefit to LFUCG.;
c. Environmental Services - accepting a donation from Rumpke: $2,500.00 to support Truck-a-Palooza and Environmental Quality and Public Works career programming such as summer camps, internships and job shadowing. (Budget Amendment #14385); and,
d. Parks and Recreation - accepting a donation from Stantec Consulting Services: $2,524.27 to sponsor the purchase and replacement of the signs located at the Beaumont Preserve Trail. (Budget Amendment #14391).
e. Aging and Disability Services - accepting a donation from Jack Miller: a hand-crafted cross-stitch replica of the painting "American Gothic" by Grant Wood, to be hung at the Lexington Senior Center. Miller spent 140 days, more than 1000 hours, and 106,560 stitches with 74 different colors to create this 30” by 24” artwork, framed with museum-quality glass.
f. Parks and Recreation - accepting a donation from friends of Joe Lyons: $2,690.00 for the purchase of a memorial bench in honor of Joe Lyons to be placed at Kearney Hill Golf Course. (Budget Amendment #14391)
