BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 5-31 of the Code of Ordinances be and hereby is created to read as follows:
Sec. 5-31.

In addition to the other building permit fees imposed in this chapter, the fire chief of the division of fire and emergency services or his or her designee shall prior to the time a building permit is issued for any new commercial building receive an automatic sprinkler plan review fee and/or a fire detection system review fee in the amount established and adopted in the current version of the Kentucky Building Code. The amount of the respective fees shall be placed on file with Council Clerk and made available to applicants for building permits.

Section 2 - That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of passage.
