Summary
Authorization to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with New Vista to establish referral coordination of individuals identified by 911 personnel in need of 988 services. Referral coordination would consist of transferring the caller to the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The caller would have to satisfy safety questions prior to being transferred to 988. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandum of Understanding, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with New Vista, for call referral coordination.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
