Summary
Authorization to execute a Data License Agreement with Proofpoint for use of their Emerging Threats Software. Emerging Threats software is needed in order to upgrade our security software to increase malware visibility and to protect infrastructure from unauthorized access or attacks. This FY there is no Budget impact associated with this DLA, however, the Department of the CIO is currently utilizing 2 licenses at a cost of $385.26 each. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Proofpoint, Inc., for the Emerging Threats subscription package.
Section 2 - That an amount, estimated not to exceed the sum of $800.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Proofpoint, Inc., from account # 1101-202505-76102, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
