Summary
Authorization to execute a Purchase of Service Agreement between the LFUCG and Lighthouse Ministries to provide funding to Lighthouse Ministries for completion of a full service dining facility at 190 Spruce Street. This space will host the Dining With Dignity program, to be administered by Lighthouse, in which volunteer groups will provide nightly meals free of charge to people experiencing homelessness and people with low-income. This program is intended to provide an alternate site for groups currently serving meals at Phoenix Park and in other public spaces as part of an effort to consolidate meal services across the community at one location. Agreement guarantees program operations for at least 3 years at no additional cost to LFUCG. The impact for fiscal year 2015 is $67,657.00. Funds are budgeted. (L0485-15) (Lanter/Hamilton)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Purchase of Service Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Lighthouse Ministries, for the completion of a full-service dining facility for the provision of meals for low-income and homeless individuals.
