Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 176-2021, the Urban County Council expressed support for the rehabilitation of the former Palmer Pharmacy Building as a Waypoint Center designed to offer education-based initiatives and Programs to combat poverty; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 605-2021, the Urban County Council authorized a redevelopment Agreement with United Way of the Bluegrass for the renovation and adaptive reuse of the former Palmer Pharmacy Building as a Waypoint Center; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 68-2023, the Urban County Council authorized the execution of a deed and any other documents necessary to transfer the former Palmer Pharmacy Building to United Way of the Bluegrass, subject to deed restrictions in favor of LFUCG for a period of not less than ten (10) years that require that the building be utilized, managed, and repurposed for the general benefit of the community as a Waypoint Center for the provision of health and human services Programming...
