An Ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to extend health insurance coverage to qualified adults and their dependents; directing the Chief Administrative Officer to adopt a policy outlining the guidelines for extending coverage; and providing that after adoption of the policy no changes shall be made without notice to the Urban County Council. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1- That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized and directed to extend health insurance coverage to qualified adults and their dependents.
Section 2 - That the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby directed to adopt a policy outlining the guidelines for extending coverage, and that, after adoption of the policy, no changes shall be made without notice to the Urban County Council.
Section 3 - That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its passage.
