Title
An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 072-2023 to change the designated funding for the Innovative and Sustainable Solutions to Homelessness Fund from an amount of "at least $750,000" to an amount of "at least .3%" each fiscal year. [Council Office, Hall]

WHEREAS, in 2014, the Urban County Council established by Ordinance annual allocations for the fund known as the "Innovative and Sustainable Solution to Homelessness Fund," specifically for a variety of activities providing solutions to prevent or reduce homelessness in Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the Urban County Council previously designated a minimum dollar amount of $750,000.00 to be allocated to the "Innovated and Sustainable Solutions to Homelessness Fund" each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Urban County Council now wishes to continue its dedication of funding to the "Innovative and Sustainable Solutions to Homelessness Fund" by establishing a minimum set percentage to ensure this funding grows in proportion with General Fund revenue to be Budgeted each fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 072-2023, relating to the designation of annual fiscal year funding for the "Innovative and Sustainable Solutions to Homelessness Fund", be and hereby is amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
That the Department be and hereby is authorized and directed to designate funding each fiscal year in the amount of at least point three percent (.3%) of the General Fund revenue collected from the previous full fiscal year, which the Department shall dedicate to the "Innovative and Sustainable Solutions to Homelessness Fund," authorized by Ordinance No. 102-2014, and administered by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Office of Homelessness Prevention and Intervention.
