This is a request to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement with the United States Marshals Service (USMS) for the housing of federal detainees at the LFUCG-Division of Community Corrections. The city will be reimbursed at a rate of $75 per day/per detainee for housing federal detainees, and $33 per day/per detainee guard rate when transporting.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the three (3) year Intergovernmental Agreement, with the United States Marshals Service (USMS), for the housing of federal detainees, at the LFUCG Fayette County Detention Center.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
