WHEREAS, the Lexington Center Corporation will be installing John Henry's Publisher at the Central Bank Center, which is currently located at Ashland - the Henry Clay Estate; and
WHEREAS, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council deems the installation of public art on the property of the Central Bank Center, currently owned by the Lexington Center Corporation, a public purpose.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to contribute $25,000.00 from the Percent for Art Fund to the Lexington Center Corporation for the installation of public art at the Central Bank Center, and to execute any related Agreement deemed necessary by the Urban County Government related to the contribution.
