WHEREAS, Council by Resolution No. 502-95 established a Residential Parking Permit Program for the 200 blocks of Market and Mechanic Street from 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday,
WHEREAS, Council by Resolution 745-2008 amended Resolution 502-95 to include 253 Market Street as part of the Residential Parking Permit Program.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to amend Resolution No. 502-95 to amend the residential parking permit only restriction on the 200 blocks of Market and Mechanic Street from 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday to 10:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with 5 parking spaces at the northernmost end of Market Street designated as permit parking only 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Resolution 502-95 is amended to change the residential parking permit only restrictions on the 200 blocks of Market and Mechanic Streets from 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday to 10:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with 5 parking places located at the northernmost end of Market Street designated as permit parking only 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
Section 2 - That the clerk of the Urban County Council be and hereby is directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Council Administrator, Chief of Police, Director of the Division of Revenue, the Lexington-Fayette County Parking Authority and the Director of Traffic Engineering.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
