Summary
Authorization to execute Change Order No.1 with Bluegrass Contracting Corporation, in the amount of ($ 3,806.53) to adjust final quantities for the Div. of Engineering under the Roadway Rehabilitation Project - Man O’ War Blvd. at Harrodsburg Road; and to rescind Resolution No. 275-2015. The purpose of the change order is to make final adjustments to the construction quantities for job close-out. At the time that the original change order was passed, site conditions had just been uncovered by the contractor that indicated there could be additional work on the original project. Additional work was not necessary. The purpose of rescinding Resolution No. 275-2015 is to nullify a previous change order for this project (Also identified as Change Order No.1), that is not needed. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Resolution No. 275-2015 relating to the Roadway Rehabilitation Project at the intersection of Man O’ War Boulevard and Harrodsburg Road be and hereby is rescinded due to the adjustment of final quantities.
Section 2- That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute Change Order No. One (1), which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Contract with Bluegrass Contracting Corp. for this Project, decreasing the contract price by the sum of $3,806.53 from $177,899.65 to $174,093.12.
Section 3 - That an amount in the sum of $3,806.53, be and hereby is credited to account # 1136-303202-91715, pursuant to the terms of the Change Order.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
