Summary
Authorization for approval of a service order/agreement with Outfitters Satellite to switch our service for the Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) from the Universal Card Plan (UCP), this is a prepaid service and move to a postpaid service. In the event of an emergency, disaster, or a special event and the Man-Portable Interoperable Tactical Operations Center (MITOC) is deployed there wouldn’t be an issue of running out of minutes and the equipment shutting down. There is a cost of $900 in this fiscal year. The annual impact will be $1,020. Funds are budgeted for this fiscal year. (L1215-15)(Duggar/Bastin)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Outfitters Satellite, to change the existing Universal Card Plan service to the Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $1,020.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Outfitters Satellite, from account #1101-505204-72204, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
