WHEREAS, the Council by Ordinance No. 57-90 enacted Section 18-114.1 of the Code of Ordinances establishing restrictions and prohibitions relating to the Residential Parking Permit Program, including penalties thereof, which Section was subsequently amended by Ordinance No. 101-90; and

                     WHEREAS, the Council, by Resolution No. 168-90, adopted a procedure on Requests to Establish a Residential Parking Permit Program; which Procedure was subsequently amended by Resolutions No. 450-91, 433-2006 and 489-2014; and

                     WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Council to establish a Residential Parking Permit Program for the 300 block of Merino Street, the 300 block of Madison Place, 700 and 800 blocks of West Maxwell Street, 700 and 800 blocks of West High Street and 628, 630 West High Street twenty-four (24) hours per day, Monday through Sunday.                     

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - A Residential Parking Permit Program be and hereby is established for the 300 block of Merino Street, the 300 block of Madison Place, 700 and 800 blocks of West Maxwell Street, 700 and 800 blocks of West High Street and 628, 630 West High Street twenty-four (24) hours per day, Monday through Sunday.                     

                     Section 2 - That the Clerk of the Urban County Council be and hereby is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Council Administrator, Chief of Police, Director of the Division of Revenue, Director of the Division of Traffic Engineering and the Executive Director of the Parking Authority.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
