Summary
Authorization to execute a price contract with Republic Services of Kentucky LLC for the Municipal Solid Waste and Wastewater Sludge Disposal, as well as Transfer Station Operations, related to RFP 45-2024. The Contract will begin on July 1, 2025 and the estimated FY 26 cost will be approximately $11,000,000. Funds are to be included in the FY 26 Mayor’s Proposed Budget. (L0320-25)(Dugas/Albright)

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Waste Supply and Disposal Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, (awarded pursuant to RFP No. 45-2024) with Republic Services of Kentucky, LLC, establishing a Price Contract for waste management disposal and transfer station operations, for the Division of Waste Management.
Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and the Lexington-Fayette County Government Public Facilities Corporation, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Lease, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and any other necessary document relating to the services provided in the Waste Supply and Disposal Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
