Summary

Authorization to execute an Agreement with EHI Consultants, pursuant to RFP No. 35-2023, to draft a comprehensive study of housing affordability in Lexington with emphasis on the number of units needed now and in the future, at a cost of $188,000. The project will also review LFUCG’s current affordable housing documents and plans, engage key community stakeholders through the creation of a project specific website, gather data and analyze, design and issue a community survey and issue a final report including implementation strategies. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute a Purchase of Service Agreement, awarded pursuant to RFP No. 35-2023, with Edward Holmes, Inc. dba EHI Consultants, for an Affordable Housing Needs Analysis.

                     Section 2 -- That an amount, not to exceed $188,000.00 be and hereby is approved for payment to Edward Holmes, Inc. dba EHI Consultants, from account #1145-160203-71299, pursuant to the Purchase of Service Agreement, pending completion and approval of any necessary Budget amendments.

                     Section 3 - That the Mayor or her designee is further authorized to execute any other necessary amendments, addenda or other documents related to these funds.

                     Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of passage.
