Authorization to abolish one (1) position of Deputy Coroner (Grade 515N) and create one (1) position of Chief Deputy Coroner Supervisor (Grade 525E); abolish one (1) position of Assistant Coroner (Grade 525E) and create one (1) position of Chief Deputy Coroner Sr. (Grade 518N); reclassifying the incumbents within the Coroner's Office, effective upon passage of Council. (L0282-15) (Maxwell/Hamilton) This is a request to abolish one (1) position of Deputy Coroner (Grade 515N) and create one (1) position of Chief Deputy Coroner Supervisor (Grade 525E); abolish one (1) position of Assistant Coroner (Grade 525E) and create one (1) position of Chief Deputy Coroner Sr. (Grade 518N); reclassifying the incumbents within the Coroner's Office, effective upon passage of Council. The fiscal impact for FY15 will be $5,121.00 for 5 pay periods. The Fiscal impact for FY16 will be $26,627.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN
COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the following subsection line numbers in the unclassified civil service authorized strengths be and hereby are created to read as follows:
            169.014      1      58      525E            Chief Deputy Coroner Supervisor
            169.016      1      56      518N            Chief Deputy Coroner Sr.
      Section 2 - That the following subsection line number in the unclassified civil service authorized strength be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
            169.020      5      51      515N            Deputy Coroner
      Section 3 - That subsection line number 169.015 of the authorized strength be and hereby is deleted.
      Section 4 - That the incumbent, John Cox, be and hereby is reclassified from Deputy Coroner, Grade 515N to Chief Deputy Coroner Supervisor, Grade 525E, at $2,308.22 biweekly.
      Section 5 - That the incumbent, Claire Dixon-Conder, be and hereby is reclassified from Assistant Coroner to Chief Deputy Coroner Sr., Grade 518E, at $36.564 hourly.
      Section 6 - That certain of the Budgets of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government are amended and funds are appropriated pursuant to Budget Schedule No. 0050, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
      Section 7 - That this Ordinance shall become effective upon date of passage.
